keyboard made of glass
July 4, 2008..

Fabulous concept design from Kong Fanwen, a glass keyboard fitted with lights and camera. You can click the keys and type in traditional fashion, or you can let your fingers float across the surface and allow the in-built sensors to judge your keystrokes. Amazing idea. Would love to see it in action… more details
360 degree mirror
April 5, 2008
Still can’t make up my mind about this, even though it’s been widely reviewed. Check the comments on Gizmodo. Feels like one of those viral April Fools. A 7-sided mirror you can mount on the wall with suction pads… The gadget folds out with three mirrors on either side, and the central mirror lights up for added value. Looks very practical… $40 from Get Organized.com
Solio – portable solar power
March 30, 2008
The Solio has been around since 2005, and is gaining steam through word of mouth and hot reviews. It’s a universal charger that works on most handheld devices including cell/mobile, iPod, game player, digital camera, PDA and GPS.
To fuel the Solio, plug it into the mains or stand it in the sunlight. One hour of sunshine will juice an iPod for 40-60 minutes, and a fully charged Solio can recharge your phone twice over. The Magnesium Edition is billed as the most advanced in the range, but the Classic and Hybrid 1000 are not that far behind.
In general, the Solio is a handy one-stop shop if you’re running several portables. But hunt around for the best deal. Amazon ships the Classic for $95.78, on NPR it’s $99.95, and the Ethical Superstore has it priced at £49.95.
