It’s difficult to choose to favourite. They’re all gorgeous for unique reasons.
Mbali is stunning. She’s a local from the Midlands of KwaZulu Natal, and the photo was shot on location in the Midlands of KwaZulu Natal. I love her expression, the simplicity of the shot and the sepia.
I like the image of Penelope for the same reasons. It’s a brilliant pose of her calm determination as she sits at the end of the quay, waiting for Odysseus to return. If you’re curious about her story, click on her name.
The happy abandon of the three on the beach, and the boy in the rain bring a smile every time. I want to be out there with them, feeling the joy and racing to freedom. Does the Triumph motorbike represent the same kind of feelings? No. I just like shiny machines, and I’m in love with this shot. If I had to pick a favourite, that would be it.
